Motivation. Camaraderie. Accountability. Friendly competition. Fun! These are some of the many benefits of training with a group. Triathlon is more than an individual pursuit. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, but are bound together by love of the sport of triathlon as well as desire to stay healthy by living an active lifestyle. Whether you’re just learning to swim or are a IRONMAN World Championships qualifier, there is a place for you in ATC.
The Atlanta Triathlon Club training program is designed for athletes of all levels (beginners to advanced) who want to train for triathlons in a group setting. Our triathlon training program includes group training activities seven times a week year round with up to fifteen weekly training sessions available during the regular season (April- September). These sessions vary focus working on endurance, speed, power, and technique. All sessions are, of course, optional. Some members make nearly every session, while others choose a few that fit their work and family schedule the best.
The ATC coaching staff consists of individuals who are experienced in the sport and have the following credentials: 10+ USA Triathlon certified coaches (Level 1 & 2), 4 USA Track & Field certified coaches, 6 USA Cycling certified coaches, 2 Certified Water Safety Instructors, 25+ Ironman Finishers, 5-time All-American swimmer and multiple age group and overall race winners.
